6.00am - stretching & running

GYM WORKOUT:

11.30am - SHADOWBOXING: 4 x 3min (working on ideas), SPEED BAG: 3 x 3min, SPARRING: 4 rounds, working up to 15 rounds, FLOORWORK: sit-ups 50 up to 200, leg raises - 50 up to 150, pushups - 50, NECK EXERCISES: rotate neck around then side to side, loosening up, SKIPPING: 15 minutes 

NOTE: these fighters fought regulary, so they were always fighting fit; this was the era of 15 rounds.

TRAINING ROUTINE:

6.00am -  full body stretching & 1 hour running

GYM TRAINING:

3.30pm to 6.30pm - WARM UP/SHADOWBOXING; 3 x 3 minutes, SPARRING; 6 to 8 x 3 minutes rounds with 3 sparring partners, HEAVY BAGS WORK; 3 X 3 minutes, bandages off, SKIPPING: 25 minutes non-stop, GROUND/FLOOR WORK: 20 minutes sit-ups, leg raises ,pushups, stretching.

NOTE: When I finished my session, I would wrap up in a thick dressing gown and a blanket. I would then have a hot cup of tea. I would lose five to seven pounds in a training session, and get down to ten stone seven or eight. Shower, then weight my self (...)

TRAINING ROUTINE:

6.00am - stretching, running for about an hour amd sprint every 100 feet then jog for 50 feet. 

GYM TRAINING:

5.00pm to around 6.00pm - 3min. Shadow Boxing / 3min. Heavy Bag / 3min. Speed bag / Skipping while runing hard and fast, up and down for 50 meters, then on the way back i skipped hard. / Exercises: side to side, sit-up, leg rises, push ups. / medicine ball: various exercises inc. Holding between my ankles. / Sparings 3 times per week Tuesday ,Thursday and Sundays 6 to 15 rounds (depending on how close my fight was). 

NOTE:  I sparing with all weights and All boxers category ,after shower and ambrose would give me a massage in the lead up to the fight.
